A Heavy Stoneware Salt Gazed Storage Jar with Two Tone Colour.

Possibly a cream churn or olive storage jar, this handsome early 20th Century storage  has a unique & distinctive look. A light brown colour around the neck and a rich fawn colour at the base.

ABOUT THE ITEM: This amazing antique amphora shaped urn has moulded lug handles and stands at 28cm high.  A beautiful standalone statement piece for your kitchen shelf, or with pouring spout and a cork stopper, the urn can be used for more practical purposes.

ITEM CONDITION: The urn is in good condition, with minimal age related wear to the outside. Some very minor cracks on the handle. Internally, there is a residual food/star anise smell – Possible used to store a spiced drink. Some white marks on the outside where something has dripped down.
