Antique Jones Brothers Travel Trunk.

A Trunk by Jones Brothers, Wolverhampton. Late Victorian to Early Edwardian, Circa 1890–1910.

A wonderfully characterful small antique travel trunk with a rich, warm brown finish and beautifully aged surface. Its compact proportions make it particularly versatile for modern interiors, while the domed lid, decorative moulded detailing and original metal fittings give it plenty of antique charm.

STYLING NOTES:

• Use as a decorative storage box at the foot of a bed or beneath a console.

• Pair with old books, brass objects and collected curios for an eclectic, lived-in look.

• The warm brown finish works beautifully with linen, leather, rattan and natural woods.

PERFECT FOR:

• Vintage shop displays

• Prop styling & photography

• Collectors of antique luggage

• A distinctive decorative accent

ABOUT THE TRUNK: A beautifully aged and unusually practical piece of British travelling luggage — small enough to use easily today, but with all the character of a much- travelled antique.

An Especially Lovely Feature:

One of the details we particularly love is the original metal catch, which still closes properly. These catches are very often damaged, bent or missing on antique travelling trunks, so finding one that remains intact and functional is a real bonus. It adds both to the authenticity and practicality of this piece.

CONDITION: The antique travel trunk has a wonderful aged appearance, with natural marks, scuffs and patina accumulated over its long life. These signs of age are part of its character and reflect its history as a travelling piece. The original catch is a particular highlight and closes securely, which is increasingly unusual to find on trunks of this age. Internally the case is very suitable for storage.

SIZE: 53cm wide x 38cm deep x 37cm high.
