Large Vintage French Wooden Chopping Board

A Beautifully Timeworn Vintage French Wooden Chopping Board, Rich with Character & Decades of Use.

Crafted from solid wood and displaying a wonderfully worn patina, this substantial piece brings warmth, texture, and rustic charm to any interior.

ABOUT THE BOARD: Its generous size makes it ideal not only as a traditional kitchen board but also as a decorative styling piece. Lean it against a backsplash, display it on open shelving, or use it as a backdrop for seasonal vignettes and gathered collections. There is an angled section cut from the bottom of the board that enables it to be leant against a wall.

STYLING NOTES:

This piece works beautifully when layered with:

• Antique stoneware and confit pots

• Vintage copper and brass kitchenware

• Neutral linens and natural textiles

• Rustic pottery and earthenware

• Collections of vintage cookery books

• Seasonal foliage and gathered hedgerow finds

ITEM CONDITION: Overall in good condition – the surface bears the marks of its working life, including gentle wear, age-related imperfections, and variations in colour that tell the story of its past. There is evidence of historic woodworm, but we have treated this, even though we saw no signs of activity from the outset.
