As Autumn Progresses, So Does Nostalgia for Previous Boating Trips.

A trip through Salterhebble, September 2025.

We left Sowerby Bridge early one morning and enjoyed a quiet and solitary cruise along the top section until we reached the 3 locks at Salterhebble. As the locks on this particular stretch of water are big, leaky, heavy & cumbersome, I’m steerer, whilst Marcus completes the hard tasks and works the handspike like a pro! 

The morning was too crisp and glorious not to catch a few quick videos of our progress. We were heading home after a leisurely cruise up the Calder & Hebble, sharing locks with some lovely people we caught up with at Brighouse.
