You Tube “Shorts” Story -Tranquility on The River Don.

River cruising has been my favourite for a long time and on the Sheffield & South Yorkshire Navigations, it’s always been a quieter section of the waterways. Come autumn however, it’s always slightly more special. 

A tranquil narrowboat scene on the River Don. 2 narrowboats, abreast, chimney’s shimmering with the heat they expelled – What a cosy cabin those boats must have had (ours was pretty toasty as well, our coal stove was glowing nicely). A short scene, but it epitomises the friendliness of the waterways and the beauty of cruising along the rivers – (which I love!) Watch the video to see the boats gliding smoothly through the water.
