Early 20th century copper flagon in a “harvest jug” style with a wide base, large handle and wide spout.
This jug is hand hammered and as such is a stunning decorative item. It’s very tall and has a wide base for stability – would look fabulous in a country kitchen.
This jug is in very good and solid condition for its age. Each section of age related wear adds to the overall character of this piece. The rivets that attach the handle are still good and strong and the brazing that joins the copper jug body is whole & complete.
This jug has been tested, and it appears to be watertight. The jug is well-made and heavy – weighing 1.7kg.
DIMENSIONS: 33cm high. 28cm base diameter.
