Genuine Antique Oak School Desk, with Lift Up Lid, Folding Seat & Cast Iron Frame – A Heavy & Solid Item.

Lovely school desk with bags of character; with the wood worn smooth over the years of use.
The seat folds up for ease of access and the lid of the desk lifts to reveal a deep storage area. The inkwell still retains its sliding brass cover, with “Kingfisher Ltd West Bromwich” stamped on the slider.

DIMENSIONS: Height 86cm, Width 61cm, Depth 82cm. Height of seat, 50cm.

ITEM CONDITION: The cast iron frame is in solid & sturdy condition and the hinges for the seat and lit are in good working order. At some stage, this has been painted in a deep blue colour and has been done well, so the frame is in good condition.
Some joints are showing age related wear, but overall the desk is a solid item. A few dings and age related wear in the wood.
There are some marks on the seat and the backrest.
