A Simply Stunning Piece of Mid Century Modern Style. This Gorgeous Table by Nanna Ditzel is the Epitome of Timeless and Elegant Danish Design.
Although a large table, the minimalist design gives the impression of a lot of space – the legs are under the table, leaving the table top free and uncluttered. Made in the late 1950’s, it has 4 full width drawers and rounded, shaped tapering legs.
This table was purchased with a set of other Danish furniture by my parents in the late 1970’s and it has been in their possession ever since then.
Ideal as a work from home or sewing desk / table. It would look fabulous backed onto the edge of a corner sofa or simply used as a dining table. The item is quite solid and sturdy and VERY heavy. Removable legs for ease of transport. Finished in light teak wax and polished to a shine.
ITEM CONDITION: As stated, the table is quite solid and sturdy, no wobbles or loose joints. There is 1 small block missing that keeps the drawer from closing too far in. The teak veneer is in good condition all round with the expected age related wear. However, there are 3 sections – 1 on the end and 2 on the top that slightly worse veneer damage – Please see images. 2 small dark ring marks & 2 scratches on the left hand side of the table – again, please see images.
DIMENSIONS: 175cm long, 75cm wide and 72cm high.
The main table & drawer section is 11.5cm high and the lower part of the table is 60cm from the floor.
This vintage item remains fully functional, but shows signs of age through scuffs, dings and faded finishes. Please see images and Item Description for more information.
